Education Objective

Develop bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online, payroll, and QuickBooks Online Payroll knowledge and understanding.

Courses

  1. Accounting Fundamentals or course equivalent
  2. QuickBooks Online Fundamentals or course equivalent
  3. Payroll Fundamentals or course equivalent (may be completed during bookkeeping experience segment of the program)

Certification Objective

Communicate and assure employers or clients of your bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online, and payroll knowledge and understanding.

  3. Payroll Certification (may be completed during bookkeeping experience segment of the program)

Training Objective

Learn best practice bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online, payroll, and QuickBooks Online Payroll processes, procedures, and steps.

Training

  1. Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online
  2. Payroll with QuickBooks Online Payroll (may be completed during bookkeeping experience segment of the program)

Experience Objective

Apply best practice bookkeeping, payroll, and QuickBooks Online processes, procedures, and steps.

Payroll Experience (three months)

Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) License Objective

Place CPB behind your name and communicate your bookkeeping knowledge, skill, experience, and ethics to employers or clients.

CPB License

Become a licensed Certified Public Bookkeeper or CPB.

This program completes the CPB license education, certification (examination), and experience requirements.

Support

You are assigned support personnel to assist you with any course, certification, training, experience, or licensing questions.

Program Steps

Pre-experience

You must purchase and complete or opt out1 of the following courses and certifications before starting the experience segment of the Program.

  1. Purchase and complete the first course Accounting Fundamentals or opt out of the course.
  2. Purchase and take the first certification exam Bookkeeping Certification.
  3. Purchase and complete the second course QuickBooks Online Fundamentals or opt out of the course.
  4. Purchase and take the second certification exam QuickBooks Online Certification.

Experience

  1. Complete the first training Bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online.
  2. Complete the Bookkeeping Experience segment (three months beginning the first of each month).
  3. Complete the third course Payroll Fundamentals2 or opt out of the course.
  4. Take the third certification exam Payroll Certification2.
  5. Complete the second training Payroll with QuickBooks Online.
  6. Complete the Payroll Experience3 segment (three months beginning the first of each month).
  7. Complete the Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) license application.

Notes:

  1. To opt out of a course, you must have completed and passed an equivalent higher education course. To opt out of a course, email your course transcript to info@consortia.accountants.
  2. If you complete the Payroll Fundamentals course and take and pass the Payroll Certification exam during the Bookkeeping Experience segment, you can go directly from the Bookkeeping Experience segment to the Payroll Experience segment without interruption.
  3. You continue to perform bookkeeping and begin to perform payroll processing during the Payroll Experience segment of the program.

Program Fee

Six monthly $500 payments

Important: The Program Fee does not include the Pre-experience courses and exams. It does include the training, bookkeeping experience, Payroll Fundamentals course, Payroll Certification exam, and payroll experience.
