Perform best practice tax planning under the direction and supervision of an educated, experienced, and licensed Certified Tax Professional (CTP).

Become a licensed Certified Tax Professional or CTP.

Consortia is a registered Postsecondary Proprietary School providing post-secondary education for educational, vocational, or professional objectives.

Benefits

Completion of the Tax Planner Development Program provides the following opportunities:

  1. Part or full-time tax planning position with Consortia Small Business Accountants,
  2. Consortia Tax Planning Business Network member, or
  3. Part or full-time tax planning position with a Consortia Tax Network member.

Prerequisites

The following is required before starting the Program.

  1. Complete the Tax Preparation Development Program.
  2. Complete or opt out of the Business Tax Fundamentals course.
  3. Take and pass the Business Tax Certification.

You may opt out of a course. To opt out of a course, you must have completed and passed an equivalent higher education course. To opt out of a course, email your course transcript to info@consortia.accountants.

Experience Objective

Apply best tax planning with Intuit ProConnect processes, procedures, and steps.

Experience

Tax Planning Experience (three months)

Certified Tax Professional (CTP) License Objective

Place CTP behind your name and communicate your tax planning knowledge, skill, experience, and ethics to employers or clients.

CTP License

Become a licensed Certified Tax Professional or CTP.

This program completes the tax planning requirement of the CTP license education, certification (examination), and experience requirements.

Support

You are assigned support personnel to assist you with any course, certification, training, experience, or licensing questions.

Note

If you complete the Tax Planning Fundamentals course and take and pass the Tax Planning Certification exam during the Tax Preparation Experience segment, you can go directly from the Tax Preparation Experience segment to the Tax Planning Experience segment without interruption.

Program Fee

Six monthly $500 payments
