Delaware Tax Changes - January 2025

Delaware Personal Income Tax—Delaware 2025 tax filing season.

The Delaware Division of Revenue will begin processing 2024 individual income tax returns on January 29, 2025. The 2024 tax year filing deadline is Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Personal income tax refunds will not begin to be issued until February 15, 2025. Delaware does not maintain reciprocity agreements with other states. As a result, anyone who is not a Delaware resident, but who has worked in Delaware, must file a Delaware tax return. Delaware residents who work out of state are required to file returns with Delaware in addition to the state where they worked. (News Release, Del. Div. of Rev, 01/22/2025.)
