Massachusetts Sick Leave Coverage to Include Pregnancy Loss Beginning November 21
Massachusetts legislation expands the use of earned sick leave for employees, effective November 21, 2024. The new law allows workers to utilize their sick time to address personal or spousal health needs related to pregnancy loss, unsuccessful assisted reproduction attempts, adoption, or surrogacy.
