Experience
Accounting Experience (three months)
Certified Accounting Paraprofessional (CAP) License Objective
Place CAP behind your name and communicate your accounting knowledge, skill, experience, and ethics to employers or clients.
CAP License
Become a licensed Certified Accounting Paraprofessional or CAP.
This program completes the CAP license education, certification (examination), and experience requirements.
Support
You are assigned support personnel to assist you with any course, certification, training, experience, or licensing questions.
Program Steps
Pre-experience
You must purchase and complete or opt out1 of the following course and certification before starting the experience segment of the Program.
- Purchase and complete the Accounting Principles course or opt out of the course.
- Purchase and take the Accounting Certification certification exam.
Experience
- Complete the Accounting with QuickBooks Online Accountant training.
- Complete the Accounting Experience segment (three months beginning the first of each month).
- Complete the Certified Accounting Paraprofessional (CAP) license application.

- To opt out of the course, you must have completed and passed an equivalent higher education course. To opt out of a course, email your course transcript to info@consortia.accountants.
