Hawaii 2025 Unemployment Tax Information Released

The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR) announced unemployment tax information for 2025. The taxable wage base increases to $62,000 in 2025 (from $59,100 in 2024). The new employer tax rate is 2.4% in 2025 (from 3.0% in 2024). The maximum tax rate for experienced employers is 5.6% in 2025 (from 5.8% in 2024). The employment and training assessment rate remains 0.01% for 2025. In addition, the DLIR announced the temporary disability insurance (TDI) maximum weekly wage base and tax rate for 2025. The maximum weekly wage base is $1,441.72 for 2025 (from $1,374.78 in 2024). The rate remains 0.5% for 2025.
