Texas Workforce Commission Prepares 2025 Unemployment Tax Rates
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is currently determining the unemployment tax rates for 2025. The final rates are expected to be released by late December 2024 and will be effective starting January 1, 2025. These rates are based on data submitted by October 31 to determine experience-rated employer tax rates for the following year. Employers can access the finalized 2025 rates through the TWC Unemployment Tax Services System beginning in December 2024. Tax rates for governmental employers and domestic employers that elect to file annually will be calculated in late February 2025.
